How to kill time during a pandemic

Congrats guys, we have completed the first week of self isolation. In these uncertain times, it feels good trying to do my part by self isolation and “flattening the curve”. Every bit helps more than you know so try to stay indoors as much as possible.

Being a small business owner in Sydney, Australia we have been hit really hard with the pandemic. During this time, I want to help support the local businesses in Double Bay and there is a cafe that I love to go to. The Ethic is a cafe on New South Head Rd in Double Bay. Lars the owner, is the nicest guy and he makes a mean coffee. The food is the bomb and if you have a big appetite the Alida breakfast sandwich is to die for.

If you are lucky enough, Jessica might be chillin’ out on her bed at the front of the cafe. Jessica is Lars’ female pug x, she is the sweetest little girl. She’s a little shy at first but once you give her a few pats, she’ll be your best friend.

One day last week I decided to sneak out to The Ethic, grab a coffee of course and to take Jessica off of Lars’ hands for a couple of hours. I brought her back to my studio and had a fun photoshoot with her. She was so patient with me, having the lights and camera in her face can be a little intimidating but she handled it like a true star. She gave me so many funny and quirky expressions, it was almost like she was made for this or maybe she just loved the carrots I was giving her. Either way, we had a ton of fun having her in my studio. Take a look at some of the photo I captured of her.
